The latest incident involves Geoffrey Nicholas Griplas, a candidate for Ottawa mayor who's been charged with two counts of criminal harassment and two counts of uttering death threats against Ontario Premier Doug Ford and incumbent Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe.
Griplas has a history of run ins with the justice system. In 2018, he faced multiple harassment charges, including a guilty plea for mischief that earned him three years' probation.
