Radiation's Unseen Cost: Flight Crews Face Cancer Risk in the Stratosphere A recent study published in JAMA Internal Medicine has shed light on a disturbing trend: flight crews face an elevated risk of dying from radiation related cancers.

The research analyzed over 12 million death certificates and found that among more than 500 occupations, flight attendants had the highest percentage of deaths from these types of cancers.

The findings are not surprising to those familiar with cosmic radiation.
