Hiker Dies on Hong Kong Trail Amid Record-Breaking Heat

Heat, Terrain, and Tragedy on Hong Kong's Trails Hong Kong is experiencing its hottest temperatures in 142 years, and hikers are paying the price for nature's fury.

On Sunday, a 60 something year old man collapsed and died on the Plover Cove Reservoir Country Trail, a popular route for locals and tourists.

The trail is notorious for its steep inclines and unforgiving terrain, which can be challenging even for experienced hikers.
